Increase Due to
the Sarah Palin
Selection
Women Want to
Join the NFRW
 No
doubt,
Republican
women are
excited
about the
GOP's first
female vice
presidential
candidate.
NFRW
membership
director
Frederika
ver Hulst
reports a
marked
increase in
membership
inquiries
from across
the nation
since the
Palin
announcement.
"American
women are
enthusiastic
about
supporting
Palin, and
they are
turning to
the NFRW to
help them.
It's a
wonderful
opportunity
for our
organization
to do what
it does best
- to bring
like-minded
women
together and
to provide
the
resources
and tools
they need
for their
grassroots
efforts."
Recruit
these women
today. The
NFRW
Membership
Committee is

Committee Tip Of
The Month
You Are the
Messenger
Do
you have new
housing
developments in
your town, city
or rural area?
If your answer
is yes, then we
have a
recruitment tip
for you. Print
a flyer or an
informational
door hanger that
tells the new
homeowners in
your area about
your federated
club.
Additionally,
you could go to
each house to
introduce
yourself, hand
the flyer to the
woman at the
house and invite
her to be your
guest at the
next club
meeting. If you
are not
comfortable
doing this or
just shy, simply
leave the
informational
club door hanger
on the door
knob, similar to
candidate door
hangers used
during
elections.
The best case
scenario is that
you will have a
new Republican
friend and a new
member for your
club! The worst
case scenario is
that you will
irritate a
Democrat!
However in doing
so, you will
show some
Democrats that
Republican women
are serious
about their
cause.
The door hanger
"Tip of the
Month" was
submitted by
Valerie Virtue,
Palm Springs RWF
Newsletter
Editor. Palm
Springs has many
new housing
developments and
the club has
used this tip to
their benefit.
If you have a
"Tip of the
Month" that you
would like to
share with all
of the NFRW,
please email it
to me at
esr@dc.rr.com or
mail to: Elise
Richmond, 505
Camino Sur, Palm
Springs, CA
92262.
Elise Richmond
is on the
membership
committee and
has been tasked
to submit the
NFRW Membership
Tip of the
Month. "The
membership of
the National
Federation of
Republican Women
is of the utmost
importance to
me. This is the
main reason that
I, a member of
the NFRW
Membership
Committee, chose
to accept the
task of
submitting a
"Membership Tip
of the Month" to
the NFRW
Newsletter for
publication,"
said Richmond.

NFRW Urges Oprah To
Invite Sarah
Palin To Be A
Guest On Her
Show
The
Oprah
Winfrey Show
 The
National
Federation
of
Republican
Women (NFRW)
is not
calling for
an official
boycott of
"The Oprah
Winfrey
Show."
However, the
NFRW is
extremely
disappointed
in Ms.
Winfrey's
decision to
boycott Gov.
Sarah Palin,
who has made
history by
becoming
only the
second woman
to run for
vice
president on
a
major-party
ticket and
the first
Republican
woman to do
so. We would
urge Ms.
Winfrey to
change her
position and
to invite
Gov. Palin
to be a
guest on her
show this
fall.
Ultimately,
Ms. Winfrey
is free to
determine
the content
of "The
Oprah
Winfrey
Show," just
as the women
of America
are free to
determine
whether or
not to
watch.
